I have a Fleet of VR Headsets - What do I do?

If you have obtained a fleet of headsets, read the article below to gain insights on best practices in regard to setup and management.


Mobile Device Management

Setting up your headset fleet via an MDM (Mobile Device Management system) allows you to centrally manage your headset fleet via your PC, saving a lot of time on multiple stages of setup.


If you already utilise an MDM or would like to set one up, get in touch with a member of the Jenson8 team via email at support@jenson8.com to gain access to our MDM release channels - doing so will enable you to deploy our applications in bulk.


General Setup

Unfortunately, Meta Quest headsets must be set up individually regardless of whether an MDM is being used or not, if you are not using an MDM, follow our Meta Quest setup guide and repeat this process for each headset.


If you are using an MDM, follow our MDM setup guide. Then contact one of the Jenson8 team to gain access to our app release channels.



Meta Accounts


Each Meta Quest headset must be set up with a unique Meta account, each tied to a different email address. You will require a batch of email addresses equal to the number of headsets you have in order to configure the headsets correctly. See more information about Meta accounts here.


If you are not using an MDM:

  • Speak to your IT admin to see whether you can create a batch of organisation emails to create Meta accounts with.

If you are using an MDM:

  • All new Meta Quest headsets must be enrolled with Meta Horizon managed services, which has it's own way of dealing with Meta accounts. for further guidance, please review Meta's support documentation.
